If you don't want a local network controller, Unifi will host one for you. You simply create a new site, connect your APs, switches, etc to your existing network and use the cloud based controller to manage. Regarding "HA" on the Pi-Holes, I followed this guide: Pi-Hole Ad-Block with Failover on UniFi. Without getting overly technical, it is basically: 2 x RPi running Pi-Hole (static IPs assigned for each) Single virtual IP to act as the DNS Address.They had to be manually reset each time. Forgetting was not sufficient for the issues I had. I've had my Protect system running for ~4 months; you missed my biggest complaint: You have to use a Ubiquiti account for access, and using an iDevice means your only option is Ubiquiti's Protect App. Browesers don't work.
